Blistering conditions and lack of crowds hasn’t stopped Asher-Smith performing on the world stage.
Dina Asher-Smith broke a 36-year-old draught of British female sprinters winning a medal at a global championship. Asher- Smith stormed home winning silver at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Setting a new National Record for Great Britain and gaining a new personal best of 10.83, puts Asher-Smith in a strong position in the lead up to the 200m, where she will look to put in another strong performance.
The 100m was taken out in 10.71 by Jamaican Shelley- Ann Fraser-Pryce. With the bronze being awarded to Marie-Josee Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast.
