Sasha Glasgow’s promising career with the Adelaide Thunderbirds has been put on hold due to a ruptured ACL, which occurred during a loss to the Netball Giants on Sunday.
The injury was sustained during the final seconds of the first quarter of the game played at Mile End, with the Thuderbirds going down 40-54.
Glasgow is set to have a knee reconstruction and will consequently miss the final minor round clash against Sunshine Coast Lightning which will be played on the road on Saturday night.
The injury places doubt on Glasgow’s availability for the 2020 netball season. With Thunderbirds coach Tania Obst saying “She has been a shining light for our team this year and we look forward to seeing her back out on the court in the future.”
